My adventures started at home – in South Africa. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World is in South Africa - Table Mountain. I have ticked this wonder off several times and found that I am drawn to the beauty of Cape Town and the majestic mountain every time I am in South Africa.

The views from the mountain are spectacular and even if you think the cable car ride looks a bit scary, it’s well worth waiting in the long line. You could also hike up, but eh No, that’s not for me. On cloudy days the tablecloth covers the mountain – and although it’s an awesome site to see – it’s not safe to be up there in the clouds and the cable ride is normally closed. It’s worth waiting for a clear day because when walking around on top of the table, the views are breath taking. I even spotted a snake. When I tried to warn a group of tourists about the snake, I created a stampede with paparazzi like camera flashes going off - poor snake is now famous and a bit camera shy!

To get a great shot of the mountain, try exploring Bloubergstrand. Great sea-side town 15 km due north of the Cape Town City Centre -a photographer’s paradise..
